This year marks the 70th release of Bodypump. Seems like yesterday release 20. Looking for instructor stories from old school instructors wishing to share their stories about past Bodypumps. If you have any stories or any thing you remember from the last 70 releases I would be pleased if you can pass this onto at Bodypump Stories please share.
Share your stories please :)
This year marks the 6th year of the bloggers at this site.
I have installed a new content management site for this blogger and it is going to be the center of blogforumsupport powered by Jomal. I have also installed a new tracklist site coming to this site in 2009. It is a multi-thread site which links releases to sizzlers to master tracklists via a SQL - ODBC powered by Microsoft Access 2007.
Wishing all a great 2009. Be who you want to be :)
SIZZLER BODYATTACK® 64!
The only sports and conditioning program that works!
BODYATTACK® 64 is the hero release! It’s all about finding the hero within – to be the very best you can be to improve your own fitness goals. It’s bursting with innovations and great music to help you achieve your own superhero potential!
Mike Stone’s cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water has you singing along and having fun from the beginning. Track 2 is all about different directions and has a new combo – the gallop & u-step curl. Your mission in track 3 is to have a great time with more energy! There are plenty of options and the song Do You Wanna Funk? provides a little funky fun. It’s time to reach your Superman potential in track 4 with the superhero hop curl in the knee hops. This is your first peak so use maximum effort and maximum power while pulling your best hero pose. There’s a new move – side step & jump.
There’s a new move in track 5 too – the crab crawl. This is a great way to improve core stability and shoulder strength so that you can do BODYATTACK® forever! Katy Perry’s Hot n Cold provides the inspiration you need to get through those 24 pushups in a row to finish the track! Get ready to fire out of the starting block in track 6 before the room is split in track 7 for some bootcamp-inspired training. Each team has a different exercise at the same time – the rules are to work at your own pace and intensity. Track 8 is all about interval training before track 9 – the dramatic peak of the second cardio fitness block.
Here you become a fitness hero to the motivating song I Need A Hero. The pain doesn’t let up in track 10 but remember – it’s got to hurt to work! You use strength to define your legs with the triangle, before shaping and defining your abdomen to Rihanna’s Disturbia which is the super-villain in this release.

SIZZLER BODYBALANCE® 44!
Where east meets west in a fusion of tai chi and yoga!
BODYBALANCE® 44 is both physically challenging and mentally engrossing, providing you with a truly internal experience that has plenty of options. Linger in the strong, beautiful movements of track 1 with the sword dance-inspired choreography.
Conjure One’s stunning song Make A Wish allows you to leave your day behind and really center yourself. Sting’s Desert Rose provides the inspiration needed to master the new move in track 2 – the striking cobra. There’s a big workout and big emotion in track 3 to a big song – India Arie’s The Heart Of The Matter.
Your inner strength empowers your legs as you move through three sequences and learn three new poses.
Amy Winehouse’s Valerie provides the time needed to chill out and catch your breath before you get to up the ante in track 6 with a short sting of core abdominals. Moby’s Disco Lies offers different musical inspiration to what you’d expect in a BODYBALANCE® class.
The hips remix of Nina Simone’s The Look Of Love in track 7 will have you singing along, before moving into track 8 which starts quietly with a new pose – the bent knee twist. This is very relaxed so you can breathe and warm your spine with a gentle twist.
You’ll love the long-held half forward fold in track 9 and the expression of opening to the side bend – soft then strong. There’s plenty of time to progressively deepen into each pose before you relax to Kate Voegele’s Lift Me Up.© 2009 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.)
SIZZLER BODYCOMBAT®39!
Defend yourself and combat!Picture yourself fighting one-on-one in the cage – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) style – and that’s BODYCOMBAT® 39. You’re going to learn the skills you need to hang on until the last round so get ready for some combo-heavy tracks and lots of repetition. To get a taste of an authentic UFC you’re going to need to get warmer faster as ultimate fighters are among some of the fittest athletes in the world. So that’s what the warmup is all about, with a focus on keeping light on your feet. Get ready for one of the longest combos ever seen in a power training track in track 3 – can you believe there are 16 punches in a row? The power for the huge combo comes from the core of your body and motivation from rocking track Come With Me. Two different types of energy are needed in track 4. The knee combo is fun and light but you’ve gotta be tough during the back fist/side combo. Scooter vs. Status Quo’s Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want) harnesses the energy perfectly. There are six solid rounds of identical choreography in track 5 which also features the power squat. Pink’s in the house in track 6 and you’re gonna want to start a fight during So What. There’s no recovery and you’re trying to knock your opponent out with every punch! A new move, the step over cross, features in track 7.
This is awesome as it can be used in both an offensive and a countermove situation. Make sure you hold something back for the last 60 seconds of continuous knee strikes! Your muscular endurance is certainly tested in track 8 where the challenge is to never step out of the intensity. Track 9 is devoid of conventional sit-ups and instead uses the hover & side plank to work all of the core muscles. The apt lyrics of Infernal’s I Won’t Be Crying help you through this intense track – even though you might feel like crying by this stage!

SIZZLER BODYJAM® 48!
Dance like you have never before!
BODYJAM® 48 is coming at you and it’s better than ever with low-complexity and advanced options, sizzling music and the hottest dance styles. Get warm to a house remix of the beautiful new track Closer by Ne-Yo before Dizzee Rascal’s new anthem Dance Wiv Me heats up the Isolations with the all-new move, ripple up. Daddy Yankee is back with new Reggaeton – a modern fusion of hip hop and Latin hype with a certain “3am je ne sai quoi” – you know, when you get that feeling you should probably go home soon!
Prepare to have your whole world flipped upside down with the crazy new Pitbull track – there’s so much room to breakout, you have to hold yourself back when the first combo kicks in. Then you get your chance to take to the stage, Broadway-style, to a new Pussycat Dolls’ song. And when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier, of course it does, to the classic Jet track, Are You Going To Be My Girl? Catch your breath and sing along to Minnie The Moocher from The Blues Brothers, before putting the whole JIVE 2009 routine together to the big band classic Dancin’ Fool. The all new UF “Oh” block goes off with music from around the world unlike anything you’ve heard before. Canadian DJ Deadmau5 drops sounds that would work on another planet, Bart B More remixes the Freemasons, and the stomping Klass remix of Where’s Your Head At? avalanches into full-throttle breakout. On BODYJAM® 48 we take the advanced options to the next level. The feel and flava you can add to your class three or four weeks after you’ve launched is just amazing – it creates so much extra energy, your members will really go off!

SIZZLER BODYPUMP® 69!
The Fastest Way in the Universe to Get in Shape!
BODYPUMP® 69 is a strong, intense release that you’re going to learn fast and have fun with! The music is pumping with awesome tracks from Fall Out Boy, Pink and Rihanna, motivating you to really challenge yourself – and your class. The squats track is tough but, as the song suggests, it really gets the party started! There are three blocks of work and in each block the legs are pre-fatigued with bottom halves before the singles.
The chest track is short, simple and hard. Fall Out Boy’s rocking track I Don’t Care provides the momentum needed to get through more killer bottom halves before you start the good, honest, back work in track 4. It’s a classic track with three sets of identical work.
Pink’s huge hit So What ensures the biceps track is oozing attitude – this song is definitely the fun peak of this release! It’s another short, intense track but you’ll feel the burn in the bottom halves. There’s a new move in the lunges track – the three quarters squat. Coming up three quarters of the way in the squats means the load is kept on the leg muscles and boy, does it hurt! And there’s no relenting of the pain in the massive shoulders track which features two supersets. You do three exercises back-to-back to challenge the shoulders in a slightly different way. Don’t be fooled with the cool feel of Kid Rock’s All Summer Long in the abdominals track as there’s a strong core challenge ahead, before you catch your breath and cool down to the smooth sounds of Let Me Be Myself by 3 Doors Down.© 2009 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.
SIZZLER BODYSTEP® 75!
The original cardio step program!
Get ready to rock with BODYSTEP®75! With rock music, attitude, strength and energy, you’ll be ready to crowd-surf by the end of the release. There’s something for everybody, great oomph and strong bass beats to motivate you through the athletic tracks and you’ll have fun with the party and flava tracks. A ‘World’ theme also runs through some of the songs, reminding you that people all over the world are getting into BODYSTEP®! This theme kicks off in the warmup when the lyrics of Can You Feel It talk about the different cities around the world, as well as energy, power and passion.
What a way to start the workout! Classic rock song Walk This Way introduces flava into track 3 as you power march around the step with attitude and increase the intensity with bigger moves, before you free your mind in the propulsive leg extension & jog combo in track 4. Despite what the Rolling Stones say, you’ll definitely be feeling satisfaction with your luscious legs and beautiful butts after doing track 5 with the traveling squat tap and the squat tap, knee & reverse basic step combo. Be the wild-child rock groupie cheering on your favorite rock star in track 6.
You’ll be pumping your fist in the air to Carla Cross’ Start All Over, before getting some cardio recovery and great-looking legs in track 7. Loads of repeaters mean you really feel the burn! There’s some country flava in track 8 which comes from the country kick – you’ll want to put on your braces and hook your thumbs underneath them – yee-har! Have fun with the hillbilly pivot – think Beverly Hillbillies or Dukes of Hazzard styles. Get ready to move fast in track 9 to Holiday with the freeze knee around the world & jog combo, before trying out the new down tap & repeater combo in track 10.
Get a well-deserved recovery in track 11 while you train the legs and work on balance with the lunge & rear lift combo and the Rear Elevated Lunge! BODYSTEP®75 – it’s all about rock!© 2009 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.)
SIZZLER BODYVIVE®10!
Fizzling with Energy! The soundtrack to this release is the best yet! Featuring hits such as Pat Benatar’s All Fired Up, Fever by Peggy Lee and Robert Palmer’s Addicted To Love, you’ll be singing all the way through this release.
The lyrics in the songs inspire the moves which in turn will allow you to “Team Teach With the Music” with ease! Also, at your request, we have choreographed the first five tracks with no stops — to keep people moving, engaged and their heart rates up. Again there’s a new move in Track 2 — the ‘wood chop’. This exercise stretches and strengthens across the core by connecting glutes to lats across the back and obliques to adductors across the front. And it feels great!
You’ll be all fired up in Track 5 which is all about levels and directions to drive you right to the end of the cardio segment before relaxing into the eagle pose in Track 6 — the calm after the storm! Track 8 features upper body, biceps/triceps work that rivals BODYPUMP® so watch out. But no pain, no gain! There are two new moves in Track
9 — the side leg lift, which promotes strength, stability and is great for your hips, and ‘around the world’ which targets the muscles around the leg from back to front. The back is worked differently in Track 11 as you’re not lying down. A new move, the ‘kneeling waiters bow’, also works the shoulders and back of the body beautifully.
There is an emphasis in BODYVIVE™ 9 on upper spine conditioning and strengthening which ties in with the setup and maintenance of great posture throughout the class and in daily life. You might as well face it — you’re addicted
to BODYVIVE™!© 2009 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.)
SIZZLER RPM ®42!
Experience the ride of your life! There’s a whole new approach to RPM™ in this release, with more precision in position, pace and resistance changes as well more variety and more connection with the music! Right from the start, you’ll know where your legs are in RPM™ 41. The key feature in this release is the accurate use of resistance to music — you add load until the legs slow down, and this is the load used when you ride on the beat.
The difference in Track 2 is two intense one-minute efforts. This increases your heart rate, opens your lungs and starts
testing the legs. You know you’re going to work hard in Track 3 when you start with a standing recovery!
There are three summits to attack and you’ll definitely need to save effort for the last, which is a killer!
Look forward to the use of the power climb – a seated climb, it’s intensity in the saddle and brings more stability and strength. In Track 5, Simple Plan’s Take My Hand provides the inspiration needed to pull out four huge efforts back to back. You’ll burn maximum calories with big resistance and big gears! There are two long phases with only one recovery in Track 6. First there’s a long build-up to recovery where you build endurance speed followed by an early jump on the beat and some 30-second sprints.
There’s only one way out of this release and that’s going up over the mountains in Track 7. It may not be the easiest way out but it’s definitely the most rewarding. Look for the magic combo of four positions where precision is the key.© 2009 Les Mills International (For Educational Usage Only.)
