TRUE BELIEVER - THUNDERSTRUCK

SIZZLER

Bodypump 70 May 2009

The key focus of BodyPump 70 is perfect timing. This means your body spends more time under tension and this will get you shape fast! The music in this release really ‘goes off’ - and keep an ear out for beats you’ve never heard before in BodyPump.

Game on in the Squat Track! Challenge yourself with more resistance. Don’t be fooled by the slow start and the Pop-Rock nature of the track - the back half bites hard with four sets of Singles and Bottom Halves back-to-back to finish! Go a little bit heavier in the Chest Track - Infinity 2008 is awesome and builds anticipation before you pump it! The new tempo means your muscles will be under tension for the maximum amount of time.

True Believer will inspire you to give it all you’ve got in the Back Track, before Christine Aguilera’s Keeps Getting’ Better drives you through the Triceps Track. You don’t need but get ready to feel the burn in the Pushups and Kickbacks! Rock through the Biceps Track with Nickelback’s Gotta Be Somebody where Singles are the name of the game.

Take a deep breath before the Lunge Track. Sash! is back for this endurance track that is VERY intense and includes Lunges and Squats with heavy weight. Ouch! Another classic Rock track is in the house with Thunderstruck motivating you through the Shoulder Track. There’s a new move in the Abdominal's Track - The Rotator Plank. Kanye West’s Love Lockdown is unlike any Abs Track - get ready for a dark, dim, sexy beat!

GET THIS PARTY STARTED

SIZZLER

Bodypump 69 February 2008

BODYPUMP® 69 is a strong, intense release that you’re going to learn fast and have fun with! The music is pumping with awesome tracks from Fall OutBoy, Pink and Rihanna, motivating you to really challenge yourself – and your class. The squats track is tough but, as the song suggests, it really gets the party started! There are three blocks of work and in each block the legs are pre-fatigued with bottom halves before the singles. The chest track is short, simple and hard. Fall Out Boy’s rocking track I Don’t Care provides the momentum needed to get through more killer bottom halves before you start the good, honest, back work in track 4. It’s a classic track with three sets of identical work. Pink’s huge hit So What ensures the biceps track is oozing attitude – this song is definitely the fun peak of this release! It’s another short, intense track but you’ll feel the burn in the bottom halves. There’s a new move in the lunges track – the three quarters squat. Coming up three quarters of the way in the squats means the load is kept on the leg muscles and boy, does it hurt! And there’s no relenting of the pain in the massive shoulders track which features two supersets. You do three exercises back-to-back to challenge the shoulders in a slightly different way. Don’t be fooled with the cool feel of Kid Rock’s All Summer Long in the abdominals track as there’s a strong core challenge ahead, before you catch your breath and cool down to the smooth sounds of Let Me Be Myself by 3 Doors Down.

PERFECT DAY

SIZZLER

Bodypump 68 November 2008.

Look forward to lots of exciting new tempos and combos in BODYPUMP® 68. There is more focus on pure strength in the chest track, emphasis onpower in the back track and overall, you’re going to get a huge cardio blast. Watch for lots of singles and bottom halves in combination with slow strength in the squats track. The six sets of singles will increase your heart rate, burn calories and help you get fit faster! The new tempo in the chest track is the slow bottom half — it’s all about control and it’s tough! Watch out for the four consecutive clean and presses in the back track. This is intense! This will lift up the heart rate and bring a huge power-training effect to this track. No bar is used in the triceps track — instead, the focus is on kickbacks, pushups and seated extensions and you’ll be able to sing along to the Veronicas’ Hook Me Up. Again, the bottom halves are the killers in the biceps track but give it your all because the song is short. Your legs are going to be hammered with the forward-stepping pulsing lunge and then you’re going to give whatever’s left to the new move – the front squat. Positioning the bar on the front of your shoulders, giving you a totally new sensation in your legs and helping you maintain a perfect back position when squatting. The plate crunch in the abdominal track adds resistance to your six-pack. Straight from the weight room, this is authentic resistance abs training at its best and will seal the deal in BODYPUMP® 68.

SIZZLER

Bodypump 62 August 2008.

BODYPUMP® 67 is another strong and challenging release. This quarter the focus is on communicating the workout factor participants will get from each track. Instructors do this by coaching the specific weight selection, training objective and exercises used. Check out the new take on some old-school bicep training and a new Plank Crunch to challenge the core stabilizers. And watch for the chance to increase your weight selection in several of the tracks so you can get stronger, faster. The music is a classic BODYPUMP® mix that features Heavy Rock from Finger Eleven in the Chest Track, with E–Type's Eurofighter next up. P!nk is in the house with one of her biggest hits for the Triceps Track, followed by a wild and cheeky Bon Jovi number for the biceps work. So, cruise into the workout in the Warmup and get the feel of the steel with a mix of Deadrows, Wide Rows and Deadrows With Underhand Grip. Then challenge your legs using a high number of Bottom Half Squats while keeping perfect form. The strong beats of Jan Wayne’s Piece Of My Heart will lift the commitment level of the workout. Enjoy the 'X–factor' in a wicked Shoulder Track and the Plank Crunch that rounds out the workout in the Abdominals Track. BODYPUMP® 67 is an awesome class that'll leave you feeling physically exhausted but emotionally empowered!

WHAT HURTS THE MOST

SIZZLER Bodypump 65 May 2008

Transform yourself with BODYPUMP® 66. This release delivers a challenging workout with some tough sequences and functional innovations. Body-weight exercises are a focus and they bring intensity by increasing the recruitment of stabilizers and the power muscle groups.

So watch out for Pushups in the Chest and Shoulders Tracks, dips in the Triceps, Stepping Lunges on the bench and the Side Plank Roll in the Abdominals Track. This move challenges the core and shoulder stabilizers and really hits the obliques — hard! The Modified Arnold Press is put into reverse for a new combination in the Shoulders Track.

Working both ways gives the shoulders a complete workout, mixing the direction of eccentric and concentric phases of training. And it’s tough — great for really isolating and chiseling the shoulders into shape.

The music is huge! Be motivated by some big powerful songs from Technotronic and Cascada, sing along to On Your Way To The Disco and Show Me Heaven and enjoy remixes of the huge Rock songs Time After Time and Livin’ On A Prayer. BODYPUMP® 66 is a truly memorable group fitness experience.

STRONGER

SIZZLER

Bodypump 65 February 2008

BODYPUMP® 65 is all about challenging strength endurance. Right from the word go Track 2, Just Like Paradise, is BIG. It has a driving beat that automatically hooks the class into BIG work mode. The hard work starts with a unique training effect in the Squats Track when the legs are hit by a reverse sequence of work.Don't expect any breaks in the Chest Track but do look forward to lots of Bottom Halves! The slower-tempo choreography keeps the muscles engaged and moving under load with no time to rest. And there are no breaks in the Biceps Track either, so the intensity is maintained from start to finish. The Forward & Backward-Stepping Lunge is back after making its debut in BODYPUMP® 64, targeting the legs, gluteus and hamstrings. The Seated Overhead Extension is also back in the Triceps Track, accompanied by funky tunes from Groove Armada, DJ Alligator and the Mac Raise both make a welcome return in the super intense Shoulders track, which is all about, strong, controlled work. There's loads of energizing music to help with the workout. Kanye West's Stronger provides the inspiration needed to endure the new Moving Hover and Side Plank in the Abdominals Track. Airbourne's too Much, Too Young, Too Fast is massive and Breakaway will fill the room with intense energy.

WEIGHT OF THE WORLD

SIZZLER

Bodypump 62 May 2007

New variations in the moves and huge diversity in the music make for a standout class that members will not want to miss. Instructors, too, will love to teach this complete package of work and fun. Jackie Rawe's I Believe In Dreams is a happy, inspirational song to connect you to the workout and whet your appetite for what's to come - you just know from the get-go that this one's gonna be huge! Then we hit the legs with four working sets and the big singalong sound of Nick Skitz and Run To Paradise. Watch out for the sting in the tail with a swarm of bottom halves. Bob Sinclair's funky Rock This Party brings a change of tone for the chest work; then the innovations kick in with a deadlift-focused back track with three working phases and two "bar down" recoveries. The pullover move makes a welcome return in a great tricep track to the quirky sound of Gwen Stefani's Wind It Up and the mood changes again as we go "dark and gothic" with Evanescence in the biceps. A backward-stepping lunge off the bench is another effective innovation in BODYPUMP® 62, with a modified Arnold Press adding spice and intensity in the shoulder work. Then the new class winds up with a couple of mega-hits in the shape of Justin's My Love in the abdominals track (the new leg extension work with crunches is really intense) and Hinder's Lips Of An Angel in the cool-down. Great work, Glen and the team! This is BODYPUMP® at its best.

ORIGINAL FIRE

SIZZLER

Bodypump 61 February 2007.

BODYPUMP 60 was special and the team goes one better with a new class that's strong on coaching, exercise innovations and contrast in the music. A single word defines the essence of every track in a DVD innovation that will assist teacher cueing. "Engage" is the keyword for a warm-up with a light, fluffy feel that puts a smile on the dial and has pumpers looking for work in the tracks to follow. It comes soon enough - in a legs/squat workout where we "commit" to the moves and make great use of the dramatic tempo changes in Walk On Water from Milk Inc. "Challenge" and "Power" define the chest and back tracks respectively. Pink's I'm Not Dead is a languid Smokey tune and Miracle from Cascada, a great rock song that will help you handle some extra weight in the lifts, rows and presses. Triceps are all about "shaping" to the sound of Justin's Sexyback - the song is slow and intense and kickbacks are the perfect move to match. Then it's time to "rock" with a big biceps blast from Audioslave and rip into some awesome lunges with a steady, funky tune from Beatfreakz. "Strong" defines both the music and the work. The new shoulder track is all about "energy" and the emphasis switches to "core" in a well-balanced Abdominals workout with Beyonce's Deja Vu. "Focus" is the keyword for a well-earned stretch performed to Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars.

INVINCIBLE

SIZZLER

Bodypump 60 November 2006:

Invincible is the opening track for our 60th release and a fitting statement about the durability of the world's favorite exercise program. BODYPUMP® continues to prove its immunity from fitness fads and fashions. The new release has all the programs trademark strength and power and more of the innovations that continue to surprise and delight participants in more than 60 countries. Musically, the new class is all you'd expect from a hard-out celebration of 15 years of "pumping". After our heart-starting warm-up, the party rocks into gear with an amazing squat track to the bring-back sound of What's Up from Aussie band Zander. The sing-along set go crazy here, as everyone locks and loads for an awesome workout to come. Bon Jovi's Have a Nice Day takes us into hard-rock territory for the chest track and E-Type helps drive the barbells skywards with the hugely uplifting Africa in the back track clean and presses. A wicked set of dips nail the triceps to the latest hot sound from Pink, while the steady, pulsating Flaunt it from TV Rock is perfect for smashing the front of the arms (slot in the incredible Cherry Pie here if you like our biceps bonus option.) The focus shifts back to the legs for some new-look lunges with Angel from b*p*m; then to the shoulders and the familiar, energizing sound of One Night in Bangkok. Next cue Shakira and the innovative side plank in the Abdominals. Amici's So Far Away is a beautiful Cooldown song about New Zealand and a proud reminder of the origins of BODYPUMP in a little country at the bottom of the world.

PUMP UP THE JAM (GLEN'S FIRST RELEASE AND HEAD CHOREOGRAPHER)

SIZZLER

Bodypump 59 August 2006:

This class targets the workout with accuracy, strength and power. Our mission is to establish a solid foundation in good technique; then hit the muscles dead centre with resistance to build awesome shape and tone. Providing that safe, stable foundation in the core is the focus of an in depth education session accompanying the new release. Choreography also helps achieve the desired result - the new class has a slower feel to some of tracks to emphasise core stability and engaging the target muscles. Meanwhile, we have a great blend of familiar and new sounds to spice up the workout and keep members coming back for more. As always, the class warms up with a preview of the moves to come; this time with the cool sounds of I Surrender from Nicki French. It’s important here to focus on technique and the new, higher target zone for the wide dead row. Sweat and burn with Simply Irresistible from Robert Palmer – load up the weights for irresistible legs. Then lie back and pump the chest with a great 90s sound from Technotronic. Power and strength are in big demand for the new-look back track – keep the elbows high and wide for a good result in the rows. Then use the rhythm and beat of A to the B to nail the new combinations in the triceps. A thumping piece of music is just what we need for the biceps – and it’s what we get with Time to Move. Lunges, too, get helped along with the awesome Like the Sun from Trinity. Overhead presses are back in the house for the shoulder track and BODYPUMP® travels to Sweet Home Alabama for a final focus on the core. This is a challenging class but well worth the effort. Enjoy!
