BODYBALANCE® is a Group Fitness Program that will change the way you feel about your body forever. BODYBALANCE ® combines traditional Eastern disciplines with new dynamic techniques. It is designed to make you feel longer and stronger, reduce pain and relieve stress. BODYBALANCE® simply makes you feel better. BODYBALANCE® is often described as a journey, not a destination. It is an opportunity to get to know your body and help it perform better and more harmoniously. Typically, classes contain general warm ups, followed by sections with specific goals and target areas. For example, back and abdominal tracks will improve the strength of your mid-section (and makes your waist smaller), strength sections will target the legs and upper body and flexibility sections will focus on all of our “WORK PLACE” problem areas like the neck and lower back. The class ends with a well-deserved relaxation section. We promise that you leave the class relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to face the world! Copyright 2004© Les Mills International |

ANYTHING BUT STRONG SIZZLER Immersing yourself in the t'ai chi feel provides a great foundation for the physical demands to follow. Shivaree's Goodnight Moon brings an almost quirky feel to the sun salutations, with the longest ever BODYBALANCE® track to follow in the form of God's Top Ten, from INXS. Many participants have rated this the highlight of the class. Slow, controlled moves are used to work the deep and superficial abdominals in track 6, with a new Dolphin pose among the moves mobilising the shoulders - and promoting great posture - in track number 7. The return of t'ai chi for the twists is a pleasing BODYBALANCE® innovation and watch out for the new moves in track 9. Stretching the inner and outer thighs as well as the hamstrings is a sting in the tail. Beautiful songs from Daniel Otsuka and Stephen Rhodes round out the class with a rewarding period of relaxation, peace and focus. © 2006 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

BREATHE ME SIZZLER Continuous flow from track to track is the key to this class. Jackie has introduced a new feel to the t’ai chi warm-up, using a Wu form that is closer to martial arts. The slicing and blocking moves are simple, strong and expressive, leaving members fully zoned into class by the end of track two. Winter in July and Wild Butterfly are two fabulous songs to carry the opening stages of the class. Fully engaged by now, members work hard through the standing strength track to the empowering The River, from Live. BODYBALANCE® 35 goes back to basics for the core work (at your request!) – the simple moves recruit and strengthen the target muscles as the core work peaks with the hugely inspirational song, You Got The Love. The class concludes with 11 minutes of relaxation and meditation and feelings of serenity and calm for all. © 2006 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

RIVERS RUN DEEP SIZZLER The flow is seamless from start to finish and the music is as good as it gets in a new class. It builds on the flowing nature of other, recent releases, where members have the time to go deep into the moves, find their breath and focus on the moment. The warm–up happens to the beautiful 7 Seconds from Youssou N'Dour and Neneh Cherry, with Conjure One's Face the Music to follow for the sun salutations. Then make the most of the fantastic new hip stretch to the pop–rock hit song, Chasing Cars, from Snow Patrol. Track 7 is a complete back and core workout and an undoubted class highlight, with plenty of options and interest in the moves and great music in the form of INXS's Afterglow. Big twists come with the big, warm sound of Hurt, from Christina Aguilera and we revisit t'ai chi in track 9, ahead of Relaxation and Meditation with Rivers Run Deep and Stuart Jones's soothing, inspirational Together in Love. © 2007 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

LIGHT SUROUNDING YOU SIZZLER Extra songs provide a musical bonus in tracks 3 and 9 but also extend the workout in a class that's at once challenging and athletic but also deeply calming and restorative. Strong contrast in the music adds further to the richness of the experience, concluding with the profoundly calming "psycho-acoustics" of pioneering mind-body therapist Andrew Weil MD. The new class starts with a traditional t'ai chi warm-up to quickly dispatch the cares of the day. The blocks, swings, wraps and reaches bring the breathing into focus and anticipate the workout to come. Sun salutations are expansive and expressive in this release, with big lunges promoting an extra stretch in the hips, chest and shoulders. Then Heather Small and Evanescence provide powerful music to help us through the standing strength with determination - and a little attitude to boot. The balance track is calm and still, with a chance to have some fun with the Tree Pose challenge. Then we take time to stretch through the hips and allow the stiff muscles around the joints to relax before taking the work to the abdominals and mid-back for stability and posture. Members will love powering up their Stand Split Pose with an exquisite James Morrison song in the Forward Folds and stretching deeply with Paul Schwartz in the second part of the track. The final meditation to follow is rewarding and serene. © 2007 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

ONE OF THESE MORNINGS SIZZLER This class takes the program to a different space. It has intense stillness, great focus and power and a rich new combination of moves and poses. A different feel in the tai chi warm-up sets the tine for the new release. A stroking move in the arms and shoulders relaxes and connects you to your body. Nonpoints cover of Phil Collins classic "In the Air Tonight" energies your body and breath. It features "the tigers mouth" hand position for building strength in the arms. Two pieces of music used for balances; Evanescence Lithium and India Aries Ready for Love are quiet different but give a different combination of strength and calm. A beautiful new pose stretches the front leg and hip while strengthening the butt and back. Pilate's is at its Group Fitness best in track 6. Through the core work the focus is to move slowly. This means that we can build strength and tone safely and it feels wonderful. There are two songs for the twists: the classic Ill Stand by You that gives us the opportunity to stand tall in each twist pose and Shadow Feet by popular Kiwi artist Brooke Fraser. This track combines twists and forward folds for a ver harmonious feel. The final song Hide and Seek definitely becomes a musical highlight and the exciting new Marichi Pose makes its debut. BREATHE SIZZLER This release starts from a different dynamic with the mat placed lengthwise down the room. The focus is on warming and mobilizing shoulders and legs in a music and movement combination that feels incredible. Smooth, hip sounds from Groove Armada accompany the smooth combo move of 3-Legged Dog to Knee to Chest Pose in Track 2. This is followed by a track based on Warrior 2. Here we deepen into better alignment and feel the benefits of both strength and flexibility gains. Special thanks to those who suggested the song Breathe in Track 4. This creates a beautiful template for the balance poses. The music and lyrics of John Legend's Show Me provide a quiet focus with lots of options to deepen the stretches through into Track 6 which furthers the theme of slow Pilate's moves to build optimal strength and tone to midsections. The Compass Pose makes its debut in Track 8. This stretches our inner thighs and twists out our spines. You will discover how fun and achievable it is to bring your leg behind your shoulder! Sounds of orchestra, choir and soulful harmonies are perfect to stretch deeply and to quieter into in Track 9. A new option here is the Splits Pose, which is a superb leg stretch. The stillness of Immerstress 2 by Andre Garceau and Bruno Lachini allow for deep relaxation or meditation, whichever you choose. The class finishes in a truly restful, restorative way with the contemplative notes of Russell Walders' The Breathing of the World. © 2007 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

LIFT ME UP SIZZLER You'll relax into the familiar sound of My Friend for the simple Tai Chi Warmup in BODYBALANCE 40. A mesmerizing Sun Salutations Track follows which enhances a breath and movement connection. Joss Stone provides a smooth and sensual accompaniment for the Standing Strength Track. At 8 minutes there's plenty of time during this song to breathe and lengthen.Track 4 is very graceful and tranquil but challenging with the new position, Twisting Star Pose, evolving into a series of twisting balances. Linger is the name of Track 5 and that's exactly what we do, with new options to deepen into the stretches. There are two Core Abdominal Tracks in this release - the first is Pilates based and lots of fun! The second is an instrumental version of Kanye West's Stronger. The only words are "harder, better, faster, STRONGER" - gutsy, motivating lyrics to match the moves. The Core Back Track is Yoga based and has a new feeling, using breath to elevate back strength when moving in Cobra Pose and Bow Pose. There are also two Twist Tracks. The first uplifting and the second, quiet and seated, bringing the focus of the class down before the release highlight, Track 9. Des'ree's I'm Kissing You is such a beautiful, internal, emotional song that it simply had to be heard in this class again! © 2008 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

SECRET INSIGHTS SIZZLER BODYBALANCE® 41 is an innovative release. The Tai Chi Warmup is expressive anddramaticin both the movements and the music. DON'T LET GO SIZZLER Simple The Tai Chi track has only two moves, allowing us to sink deeply into our breathing, and immerse ourselves in the simplicity of Coldplay’s Lost. Strong Transiting through the playfulness of the sun salutations to standing strength, the focus shifts to power, culminating in the challenging bent knee floating half moon pose accompanied by the uplifting Mary J. Blige song, Come To Me [Peace]. Emotive Prepare for drama as The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ soft rock hit, Your Guardian Angel soars through the balance track. This unites with the angel sequence to challenge and uplift us. Deep Invite members to extend into the intense quad/abductor stretch, increasing hip mobility and potentially improving knee alignment, before releasing into a delicious, extended happy baby pose which does magic for the hips. Wicked Plenty of options are needed in the wickedly tough core tracks, overflowing with kooky innovations like commando crawls and plank pose pullbacks. Warning — these moves will transform your body! Return Sheryl Crow’s Always On Your Side is back by popular demand, this time in a duet with Sting, to gently twist us free and begin the glorious descent into forward folds and meditationl © 2008 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

Conjure One's stunning song Make A Wish allows you to leaveyour day behind and really center yourself. Sting's Desert Rose provides the inspiration needed to master the new move in Track 2 – the Striking Cobra. There's a big workout and big emotion in Track 3 to a big song – India Arie's The Heart Of The Matter. Your inner strength empowers your legs as you move through three sequences and learn three new poses. Amy Winehouse's Valerie provides the time needed to chill out and catch your breath before you get to up the ante in Track 6 with a short sting of core abdominals. Moby's Disco Lies offers different musical inspiration to what you'd expect in a BODYBALANCE® class. The hip remix of Nina Simone's The Look Of Love in Track 7 will have you singing along, before moving into Track 8 which starts quietly with a new pose – the Bent Knee Twist. This is very relaxed so you can breathe and warm your spine with a gentle twist. You'll love the long–held Half Forward Fold in Track 9 and the expression of opening to the Side Bend – soft then strong. There's plenty of time to progressively deepen into each pose before you relax to Kate Voegele's Lift Me Up. © 2009 Les Mills International (Educational Usage Only.) |

SIZZLER BODYBALANCE - ® 46 - Lost and Found BODYBALANCE® is dramatic and challenging. Push your limits, because you never know exactly what you are capable of until you try. The options are there if you need them! Focus on your breathing in the warm-up track, then challenge yourself to lift off in the Knee to High Block Combination. You will feel like you are surfing in Track 2, feeling the flow of Yoga poses. Also featuring a one minute Down Dog, feel this quintessential yoga pose! Magnificent takes you through Track 3. There’s a new move – the Extended Warrior 2 with Prayer hands and lots of powerful drama. Find your balance to Shine in Track 4. This is a very challenging track, but there are lots of options available. Why? Because it feels amazing to sink into each hip opening pose accompanied by this gorgeous Annie Lennox classic. Take your abdominal strength to a whole new level in Track 6, before working on your strength, support and stability to Broken Strings in Track 7. You will really build strength in the Plank Pose Pullbacks. For something new try pushing off your back foot and bringing your weight forward in the Lunge Twist in Track 8. It feels great! Leona Lewis draws you into a beautiful, very deep hamstring stretch with Run. Then relax into Deuters Kindred Spirit, as you become aware of steadying the outside edge of your body and focusing specifically on your breathing.

Warm up with a series of simple, traditional Tai Chi exercises. The exercises are laid out in an evolving progression, making it easy for your class participants to master the moves. You will be challenged in the Sun Salutations Track. The new innovation is the 3-Legged Dog, shifting to Plank Pose and then sinking into Crocodile Pose. Find grace and make the movements feel beautiful in Track 4. There’s a gorgeous strength and balance sequence in this track, set to one of the most unusual pieces of music ever used in BODYBALANCE® – Soul Saviour’s For The Windows In Paradise, For The Fatherless In Ypsilanti. The Core – Abdominals Track features very slow, controlled Pilates moves which will put your endurance and abdominal strength to the test. The uplifting song Show Me What I’m Looking For brings back the Bow Pose and Pilates Swimmer Kicks, building back strength in Track 7. SIZZLER BODYBALANCE - ® 48 - I JUST TELL MYSELF! BODYBALANCE® 48 is a journey towards peace. This release will lead you from the epic battle of Ben-Hur, through protest and reflection, and finally into deep understanding and awareness of your body and the world around you. We’ll begin with a sword-dance inspired by the Love Theme From Ben Hur, and then sink more deeply into our breath than we’ve ever gone before in the Sun Salutations Track. The Balance Track feels like a massive hug – you’ll understand once you experience this track. You’ll then expand your hip horizons with the 3-Legged Down Dog with open hip in Track 5. Find your beat in the Core – Abdominals Track. Here’s your chance to break out of the BODYBALANCE® mold and beat your protesting drums on the floor. We are One Tribe! Begin to wind down into calm to the emotional Before The Worst. Then fall even further with Kelly Clarkson’s Already Gone, before experiencing the phenomenal beauty of our remake of Moby’s Study War. The meditation to Wildflowers asks for true reflection on the joy already present in our lives – the perfect note on which to end the class.

SIZZLER BODYBALANCE - ® 50 - A HUNDRED THOUSAND ANGLES BODYBALANCE® is turning 50 and it's never been better with a sublime blend of music and choreography that takes you deep into the Yoga experience. Sade warms things up in Track 1 as we ease through a series of simple moves to the deep tribal feel of Soldier Of Love. Standing Strength will have you stretching to new limits with a reworked expression of the Warrior 1 stretch – the Lateral Bend. Fortunately, old favorites The Script are on hand to help make anything seem possible with their track Breakeven. We're joining the stars of "Avatar" for Track 4 and it's not just Leona Lewis' uplifting song I See You that's courtesy of the award-winning movie. Jackie Mills has also played with the themes, and references the story of the Navi in the choreography. Track 4 introduces Ujjayi Breathing which is new to BODYBALANCE® but a fundamental practice in Yoga. Imagine your throat narrowing as you use the technique to release stress and calm your body. The two Core Tracks get straight to the point and are focused on what they do best – working the abdominals and back – before Please Don't Stop The Rain leads us into a Down Dog Twist in Track 8. This is an advanced move but give it a try. The feeling you get when you master this is incredible – you're grounded on one arm and get a beautiful twist through the spine. There's plenty of drama in the Forward Bends – with a dramatic move to match – and then the emotion of The Bliss' track, 100 Thousand Dancers, provides the perfect bridge into the final Relaxation. |
