The more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it. BODYATTACK® is broken down into three phases. Each phase is designed to get you fit, keep you fit or get you fitter. The principles of interval training are implemented, where periods of high intensity work are interspersed with periods of active recovery. Strength tracks are also added throughout the class to complete this total-body workout.

BODYATTACK® 66
- 2009

You’ll be charged from start to finish with BODYATTACK® 66 – it’s a fusion of magic, movements and music to take you toward two high-energy peaks. Just Dance is a great Warm Up track with a huge amount of energy and lift off! You’ll have loads of fun with the Fly on the Wall theme of Track 3 where intensity is lifted in the Superman’s and maintained with the Shuffle Combinations. The new Side Step and Squat Combo in Track 4 will help peak your heart rate before you’re challenged with 100 push-ups in Track 5. Don’t worry though – there are plenty of options to help you through! The Running Track, Track 6, is all about technique, energy and as the song When You Leave suggests, some “Ha ha!” In Track 7 you have a chance to relax and have some fun in the rhythm combo. Look forward to the sports training which builds power and strength, especially in the Step Runs and Ice Skaters. Track 8 is five minutes of energy, adrenalin and passion to really build your fitness. I Kissed A Girl motivates you to reach your maximum peak before the rocking and appropriately named Take It To The Limit really pushes you to your second peak. Reset, breathe and condition your legs in Track 10 with the Repeaters and Lunges before spinning your legs right round with the Scoop in the core conditioning track.

Each team has a different exercise at the same time – the rules are to work at your own pace and intensity. The pain doesn’t let up in track 10 but remember – it’s got to hurt to work! You use strength to define your legs with the triangle, before shaping and defining your abdomen to Rihanna’s Disturbia which is the super-villain in this release.

This is a rocket-powered class that will send your fitness levels sky-high. We've got some wicked new movement patterns and lots of different music styles where you can sing along with top 40 hits and hook into the rock songs that'll drive you to your personal power peaks. La La is a huge aerobic track that brings the class alive. The energy really kicks in with double knee and single knee combinations, supermans and jacks. The lyrics of Walk This Way, the upper body conditioning track, describe the movements and will definitely motivate! When it says "walk this way" in the chorus, that's exactly what you do with the walking push-up. Bottom-half push-ups are a special move in this track. There's a new square pattern in the agility track that's great fun and really works the group dynamic. It's also fantastic for training agility. This track is perfect for working on change of direction and time reaction and a great training drill for court sports like tennis, basketball or squash. BODYATTACK® 57 - 2007
This class is about opening the door to new participants - while giving experienced members their full measure of supercharged fitness fun. Instructors get behind-the-scenes tuition in introducing the programme to newcomers and in teaching the full range of options in the new release. The instructor education is focused on having first-timers understand the importance of going hard to experience the addictive endorphin kick that comes with BODYATTACK® - yet working within their limits and making the adjustments necessary to suit their own fitness levels. They can do this in three ways: firstly by adjusting the time spent working out (doing just part of the class is fine for newbies); secondly by taking the low-impact options or leaving out the jumps altogether and, thirdly, by shortening the range of motion used in the moves. Beginners can reduce the workout intensity to a more manageable level by lowering their knee lifts, for example, or travelling a shorter distance in the Supermans and Skaters. Instructors should also explain to newcomers that the cardiovascular system responds faster to training than the muscles and tendons. New participants may need to gradually build up these tissues so they can keep up with their rapidly strengthening cardio system.
